Role Objective
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for posting cash daily, maintaining Accounts Receivable (A-R) / Credit & Collection functions at optimal levels while providing quality internal and external customer service. This role also involves maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies and improving processes.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Timely and accurate posting of daily cash activity and recording of customer deductions. Responsible for postings in multiple countries/currencies.
Set up dispute cases in SAP for all deductions submitted with cash remittances.
Research unusual or undocumented deductions with sales leadership, customers and collectors as needed
Accessing customer portals to pull documents and research unsupported items
Management of multiple email inboxes including actioning and/or assigning to appropriate individuals.
Assist with new account / customer set up in SAP and maintenance as required. Ensure completeness and accuracy of information submitted and researching any issues identified.
Education and Experience
Accounting degree preferred, Associates or higher
Five (5) years of cash application or related experience
SAP experience preferred, or other major ERP system experience required
Supervision/Coordination
Role does not have any direct reports but requires collaboration with members of various internal teams as well as communicatin with
Travel Requirements
Overnight Travel – not required
