POSITION SUMMARY:

Introducing Nestlé Purina’s new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory – just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. This world-class factory will be built from the ground up to produce a wide variety of some of the most trusted and beloved pet care brands in the U.S. Our passionate team in Williamsburg Township will work in an environment that values safety, the latest technology in manufacturing and a culture of learning. As HR Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting and executing daily operations within the Human Resources Department as the primary point of contact for our night shift associates. You will assist with employee relations matters including driving factory policies and programs, providing strategic coaching and development on Human Resources practices, personnel management, labor relations, conducting employee investigations as needed, and other HR related support functions.

This is a factory-based position and previous experience in this environment is preferred. This position will start out on day shift working a Monday-Friday schedule at our temporary office building as the facility is being built. Once the Williamsburg Township facility reaches operational startup, the schedule will change to working non-traditional hours on off-shift to provide HR support for our night shift associates. The schedule and hours are to be determined and can be flexible to provide work/life balance. Schedule example could include Monday-Thursday 12pm-8pm. Additional details regarding the schedule to be further discussed.

Primary Responsibilities:

Spend time on factory floor (at least 50%) for relationship building with frontline associates and to proactively identify opportunity areas for HR support.

Act as primary contact for night shift associates regarding adherence to company rules, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency throughout the facility.

Support and facilitate associate conflict resolution policies to foster a positive and productive work environment.

Responsible for associate investigations and labor relations.

Assist the HR Manager in the analysis of trends and metrics within the factory to develop solutions, programs, policies and identified training needs.

Facilitate trainings for factory leadership on regulatory HR processes (FLSA, ADAA, EEOC, etc.) and impacts to the organization.

Assist HR Manager in planning and execution of budget for all personnel expenses.

Facilitate completions of performance and development reviews for all associates and Talent Development for Salaried associates to elevate the performance of the facility.

Monitor the Affirmative Action Program and EEO Compliance while ensuring adherence to all employment procedures set forth by the company, Federal and State laws.

Coordinate and lead HR audits (internal & external).

Actively participates in operational factory activities for Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Goal Alignment.

Supports associate engagement activities and team building plans to include: recognition, BARC (Batavia Activities, Recognition, and Community committee) activities, and health and wellness events.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

3 years’ experience in a professional Human Resources role, preferably within a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment

Other:

Exposure to both union and union-free environments preferred

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or SPHR Certification preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $60,000 – $95,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
