As a Technical Lead, Operational Technology & Cybersecurity with Jacobs, you will work at the forefront of contemporary OT cybersecurity and systems integration. Jacobs designs and builds the world’s infrastructure, and you’ll play a key role in managing projects across a multi-disciplinary team of practitioners delivering project across Jacobs markets.
As Team Lead, OT Cybersecurity, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead teams that design OT networks, integrate OT technologies, and provide cybersecurity services in industrial environments. You will scope new projects and align budget and resources to ensure effective and cost-efficient delivery. You’ll serve as the Sr. technical representative to the project ensuring that multi-disciplinary functions ranging from network engineering, systems engineering, and cybersecurity are delivered cohesively through the project. You’ll interact with Jacobs engineering teams to translate client OT and cybersecurity needs into scoped project plans. You’ll also be responsible for professional development of the team being managed including on-the-job training and formal technical training. Along the way, you will be empowered to lead and work across Jacobs organizations to raise the bar for securing client’s vital OT networks.
Location: Remote within the United States
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise to internal and external clients in the areas of network engineering, cybersecurity, and systems engineering in OT environments.
Manage multiple, concurrent projects in area of responsibility through creation of WBS and alignment of personnel resources to project needs
Manage projects effectively in areas of budget, schedule, and technical execution
Communicate effectively with other Sr. managers to allocate shared services resources effectively in highly matrixed organizational structure
Communicate effectively with Director, OT Design and Integration on resource needs, technical delivery, and new business opportunities in area of responsibility.
Manage small to medium sized teams of practitioners in the areas of network engineering, systems engineering, and cybersecurity engineering.
Provide market level technical execution over defined markets which may include energy, transportation, and infrastructure by understanding the nuances of technical delivery in these markets and building relationships with Jacobs market stakeholders
Define and develop metrics to measure key indicators including value, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Manage professional development plan for assigned team members; provide quarterly and annual e3 performance reviews
Propose use of appropriate technologies through strong understanding of OT OEM ecosystem and procurement
Identify roadblocks and propose effective solutions.
Ability to positively influence peer organization and key stakeholders.
Make recommendations of staffing and quality improvement initiatives
A Bachelors degree required and at least 10 years of experience. Additional years of experience maybe accepted in lieu of the degree.
3 years of experience managing technical teams in OT, networking, or cybersecurity environment
5 years of experience in OT with subject matter expertise of control systems
2 years of experience in network engineering including understanding of design, hardware/software installation, and documentation
2 years of experience with cybersecurity including understanding of NIST, NERC, and DoD standards
Experience working with firewalls and wireless communication technology
Experience working with virtualization platforms, Active Directory, DNS, and Domain Controller
Preferred:
A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (or equivalent)
