Electronic Assembly Technician

Actalent

Job Description

Assemble precision electromechanical parts by following diagrams and specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments in a prototype engineering environment. Assemble cables and electrical connectors into complex assemblies, working with raw components, not just wiring and cables. Operate in a clean environment to assemble optical-electrical and opto-mechanical assemblies. Operate the testing equipment and document test results using templates and SOPs. Repair and rework assemblies to meet operation tolerance and quality. Verify dimensions and clearances of components and parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and test equipment. Create parts kits and record tracking data such as serial numbers and part numbers to feed the assembly flow. Assist in inventory management by organizing the parts and enabling storage of components, subassemblies, and finished goods. Accurately follow all applicable manufacturing documentation in the assembly and testing of the product.
