Bike Technician

Bike Mechanic / Bike Rebalancer paying $26-28/hour

Description:

Inspecting and diagnosing: Examining bikes to identify issues such as damaged or worn-out parts

Repairing: Fixing broken or cracked frames, replacing parts, and performing other repairs

Routine maintenance: Cleaning and lubricating chains, replacing brake pads, and fixing flat tires

Assembling: Building new bikes

Managing inventory: Keeping track of bike parts

Providing quotes: Developing and proposing solutions to customers

Completing paperwork: Doing paperwork related to the job

Attending events: Attending cycling events

Bike mechanics may work in a variety of settings, including bike rental establishments, indoor bike parks, or for professional sports teams.

Using bike trailers, travel along a dispatched route transporting bikes between stations.

Retrieve bikes locked off station by users.

Conduct and record visual inspections of stations and bikes.

Work collaboratively with the local Operations Team to constantly improve the system.

Skills:

Communication, Attention to detail, Problem-solving skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and Understanding of basic mechanical principles.
