Responsibilities:

The Program Specialist is a key member of the AmeriHealth Caritas Foundation team, responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating programs, leading the grants administration process, and building internal and external Foundation partners to the Foundation’s work towards preventing and mitigating Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Additionally, this role provides high-level administrative support to the Foundation Director. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative environment, possesses exceptional organization skills, communicates effectively, and is passionate about partnering with communities to support youth outcomes.

Other accountabilities:

Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and initiatives for a growing Foundation.

Combine effective strategies, forge partnerships, and manage existing relationships to develop new models for effective ACEs prevention and mitigation.

Support relationships with grantees, community organizations, and additional Foundation stakeholders

Provide comprehensives administrative support to the Foundation Director including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.

Manage all aspects of the Foundation grant application process, including reviewing and recommending proposals, and records in thecustomer relationship management (CRM) platform

Contribute to the continued refinement of functional strategy and evaluate opportunities to further the Foundations’ work across all markets and pillars.

Plan and execute foundation events, including meetings, conferences, and community outreach activities.

Education/Experience:

Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required

Three or more years of experience in program management, community relations, or a related role.

Experience in program design, implementation, analysis, and evaluation

Experience with grants, fundraising or foundational work preferred.

Other Skills:

Previous project and/or account management experience preferred.

Professional experience or demonstrated knowledge in strategic philanthropy.

Experience in program design, implementation, analysis, and evaluation.

Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills, time management skills, and high attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated experience operationalizing strategy and building out new initiatives.

Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple facets of project development and implementation.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop, maintain, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to work well independently and within teams.

High level of professionalism and discretion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom.

Prior experience with donor and grant CRMs preferred.
