Systems Engineer (Architecture & Requirements) – Intern

Description: Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern Systems Engineer. In this role, you will work in an agile team to develop/modify the architecture, requirements, and/or processes for a large scale SW program. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of computer system designs including knowledge of the OSI layers as well as Computer Security concepts. Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing a BS degree from an accredited college in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Sciences and Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent STEM field.
• Understanding of system engineering concepts, requirements development, and computer security fundamentals.
• Must be a US Citizen.; This position will require a government security clearance.; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Familiarity with developing system requirements, interfaces, or architectures using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques
• Familiarity with requirements development, analysis and management
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to work well in an agile team environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
