Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Carolina Lake Golf Course Shaw AFB, SC. Responsibilities Performs over-the-counter selling of a variety of golf related merchandise. Answers customer questions, and provides product knowledge to customers. Assists with inventories, replenishes stock. Reforms housekeeping duties in sales and storage areas. Rotates and moves pro shop displays to enhance sales. Performs other related duties as assigned. Handles customer transactions through operation of pro shop POS and tee time system. Responsible for ringing in sales, cash handling and the completion of daily paperwork involving sales transactions. Coordinating daily operations involving cart sign out, club rentals, tee times, order of play, telephone inquiries, event sign-up sheets and customer follow-up. Qualifying Experience: Have responsible experience in clerical, office, cash handling or retail sales store work of any kind which demonstrates the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. Experience demonstrates knowledge of proper cash handling procedures, the ability to resolve common arithmetic problems used when receiving payment from customers, and the ability to operate a cash register. Be able to read, speak, and write English. Possess skill in dealing with the public. Be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
