We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director, Communications and Engagement within a key growth area for EY – Client Technology (CT). Fueled by EY’s US$1 billion investment in technology and innovation, CT helps clients harness emerging technology to power business transformation, drive growth and solve their most pressing issues.

As one of our Growth & Innovation functions, CT partners with EY businesses to deliver long-term value to clients through our award-winning EY Fabric platform and technology products.

It augments human potential through automation and delivering deeper insights and this role is key to maximizing that potential. Whether it’s communicating the world class technology products and capabilities available to EY’s client serving teams, engaging teams in our CT priorities, or driving new ways of working, future skills and careers for our 3,000 CT colleagues, we’re looking for an experienced internal communications manager who can deliver.
The ideal candidate will have an unwavering passion for communications strategy, and be experienced in the creation of impactful, audience centric communications and campaigns that are outcome driven and embrace the values and diversity of EY.
Your key responsibilities
Develop and implement communications to support organizational change, ranging from simple organization announcements to strategic and cultural change programs with complex messaging and stakeholders.
Deliver memorable and impactful virtual and in-person events with global and regional teams.
Ensure our 500-strong CT Leadership community feel empowered and enabled to engage their teams in our CT priorities and the EY values and culture.
Measure reach and effectiveness of communications and identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Support the broader Client Technology communications strategy, planning and execution for Client Technology priorities, and produce communications on a range of topics that contribute to these priorities.
Provide communications counsel on best practices, cadence, cascade, timing and channels to enable successful deployment of internal programs.
Provide additional support to Growth & Innovation communications activities as needed
Skills and attributes for success
We’re looking for an experienced, highly collaborative and inclusive team player who understands the nuances of working and communicating with global teams. And someone with strong planning skills who has a reputation for delivery and a keen eye for detail.
To qualify for the role you must have
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent area of study) or 10 years’ experience in communications strategy development and implementation.
10 years’ experience in internal communications for a global organization and/or similar sized complex organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to synthesize complex information into simple, high impact messages.
Experience in developing and delivering detailed communication plans based on an understanding of audience and outcome.
Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills on global business fundamentals, business models, ethics, competitive analysis and cross cultural/geographical sensitivities.
Experience of being a trusted business advisor who has demonstrated a high level of influence at the most senior levels within a large, matrix organization.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively.

Have knowledge of technology and the role it plays in business, especially in this ever-changing landscape.
Have significant experience with digital channels to help deliver initiatives to global audiences.
Have strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to maintaining the highest standards across all content and channels.
Be a team player with a flexible can-do attitude and good interpersonal skills.
Be able to prioritize your workload and proactively manage stakeholder expectations; effectively balancing multiple priorities, projects and business-as-usual tasks.
Have experience as part of a high-performing and global virtual team.
What we offer
The compensation ranges below are provided in order to comply with United States pay transparency laws. Other geographies will follow their local salary guidelines, which may not be a direct conversion of published US salary ranges.
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $96,300 to $180,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $115,600 to $204,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
