Product Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform all engineering and technical assignments related to the product line. Provide product support to Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Accounting.

– Develop and maintain all engineered manufacturing drawings and related supporting documentation for the entire product line, including BOMs.
– Continuous improvement of product development
– Generating quotes and purchase requisitions for material and special order components
– Will lead all new product launches
– Interaction with Customer via email, phone, and site visits
– Staying current with all federal code requirements
– Provide input to production scheduling to maintain project schedules
– Identify potential and existing problems and provide a solution
– Closely work with shop personnel to ensure accuracy and quality of product
– Closely work with cross functional teams such as Process Engineering, Quality, Production, and Accounting for execution of plans, process improvements and cost savings.

Qualifications and Requirements bachelor

– Knowledge of AutoCAD and Solidworks
– CAD/CNC programming experience preferred, specifically SIGMANEST
– Experience in metal fabrication preferred
– Experience with PPAPs a plus
– Must be a strong leader and detail oriented
– Capable of working in a team environment
