Cleveland Clinic offers a wide range of surgical services. Whether patients require minimally invasive procedures or major surgeries, this surgical team is dedicated to providing patients with excellent care in a safe, family-friendly environment.

A caregiver in this position works Evening shift from 2:00PM – 10:30PM with rotational weekend on call.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

Safely transport patients to designated areas per nursing requests.

Assist nursing caregivers during surgical cases as requested.

Maintain and control support services equipment and supplies.

Maintain the OR in an aesthetically safe and sanitary condition.

Enter job tasks into electronic computer software systems.

Assist in prepping and shaving patients for surgery.

Coordinate and maintain uniform room activities, such as locker assignments and scrubs.

Properly handle and dispose of hazardous waste.

Comply with special cleaning requests for radioactive waste and infection control surgical cases.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

High school diploma or GED.

If not already obtained, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required within your new hire period.

One year of customer service experience.

Experience working in a team environment.
