SECURITY OFFICER
Mountaineer Casino Resort
SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons, employees, and all properties owned by Mountaineer Park, Inc. (i.e., Barn area, Hotel, Track side, Casino and outside)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Greeting guests and checking IDs as guests enter the Casino.
2. Must exhibit a friendly and outgoing disposition at all times.
3. Provide a safe environment for our guests and employees at all times.
4. Protect the assets and property of Mountaineer.
5. Must be comfortable being around and working around animals.
6. The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
7. All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Manager of Security then to the Director of Security.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
– Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times. Must be able to read and write to ensure proper and accurate report completion. Must be able to add simple equations.
– You will need to be available to work all shifts.
– You must be at least 21 years old to work on the gaming floor, inside the casino.
– You must be able to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Table Game License through the WV Lottery.
– Seasonal positions available during our Racing Season, which require you to be 18 years old.
– You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Prior Security experience is helpful but not necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 25 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
You will be required to carry a radio.
