International Tax Manager, Global Tax Operations
The International Tax Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of private and public Country-by-Country Reporting (“CbCR”). This tax professional will be part of the team ensuring compliant, complete, accurate and timely CbCR filings as well as facilitating data flow and other support required for overlapping OECD Pillar 2 analysis. This professional will play an important role in streamlining and improving the quality and timeliness of the CbCR reporting processes. This professional is expected to work cross functionally with other groups within the Global Tax organization as well as Treasury, Controllers, Global Financial Solutions, Commercial and Market Finance, among others. The candidate should have recent U.S. international corporate income tax experience, highly skilled in Excel, and be a champion of process and technology improvements.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Country by Country Reporting:
Data Gathering and Analysis : Gathers source data from financial systems and other internal resources, analyzes the data and prepares the workpapers, which are the basis for information included in the reporting submission(s) required by the private CbCR as well as by the public CbCR EU Directive as adopted by each European Union Member State as well as any other CbCR requirements that may eventually be needed in other jurisdictions applicable to Pfizer. Supports the compliance with all publishing requirements related to Pfizers public CbCR, including dealing with the appropriate regulatory bodies and requirements for posting on Pfizers Corporate website. Supports the response to internal and external inquiries related to public CbCR while following the escalation procedures in place for external inquiries related to Pfizers tax matters. Applies skills, discipline, technical knowledge to get the job done. Becomes a resource for others. Works on assignments using knowledge and work experience to achieve desired results. Uses a variety of communication tools and techniques to perform responsibilities. Applies knowledge of internal/external business challenges to provide recommendations for improvements to and acceleration of the CbCR processes, including further automation of the information that feeds into CbCR. Capable of building strong, collaborative relationships, open communication and effective partnerships with stakeholders.
XML : Performs XML tagging of public country by country reporting to ensure compliance with public CbCR regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Controls/Coordination of Internal and External Audits : Provides support to internal and external auditors as required.
Process Reengineering/Benchmarking : Supports the review of public country by country reporting disclosures of peer companies and other multinational companies and suggests reporting practices and improvements to Pfizers disclosures.
Ongoing Public Country by Country Reporting Regulatory Landscape : Monitors regulatory and legislative activities related to public country by country reporting requirements in the EU and all other locations where Pfizer operates.
Assistance with determining the constituent entity list: Liaise with our Digitax team to ensure the population and classification of constituent entities and financial reporting system codes are correctly identified in the legal entity management (LEM) software for inclusion with our CbCR data and Pillar 2 calculations.
Assistance with creating country level narratives: Assists with gathering appropriate business information and tax positions to prepare narratives to be considered for individual country disclosures. Liaises with transfer pricing team to gather entity business activities descriptions.
LEM: Oversee the accuracy and completeness of tax data for all company entities within the Tax Hub, including reviewing and maintaining the entity list, ensuring reflection of planning transactions, and conducting quarterly reviews of system fields and derived properties to uphold data integrity and compliance standards.
Support overlapping workstreams – Supports procedures to ensure that all interdependencies for public CbCR, private CbCR, Pillar 2 and its safe harbors, quarterly provision and tax return compliance are aligned for forecasting and tax filing purposes.
Assistance with special projects
Assists with data gathering and reporting utilizing SAP, FCCS and other Pfizer technology tools.
Acts as resource for various Global Tax functions as needed.
International Tax – Provision and Compliance
Provision – Assists with the quarterly and year-end tax provision for determining GILTI and Subpart F inclusions for selected markets and reviews entity outputs.
Compliance – Assists with U.S. international tax compliance as needed.
LEM - Utilizes the LEM data base to provide the foundation for all quarterly provision calculations and the Tax Return organizational structure that includes the basis for private CbCR, the Pillar 2 population of returns and safe harbor analysis.
OIT - Leverage the LEM data base to assist in creating tables needed to determine TB imports (short periods, CTBs, etc.) to OneSource Income Tax (OIT) tool; review OIT mappings and sourcing templates – adjust as needed; scrub FCCS COA and identify new accounts and revised accounts, gather intercompany look-through data and related party transaction data.
Tax Credits – Ensure that the cash receipt tool is contemporaneous, prepare cash tax information for tax return with details needed for import and audit readiness.
REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
CPA preferred
5-7 years of combined international tax experience with Big 4 and publicly held multinational companies
Strong computer skills with high emphasis on Excel proficiency
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Experience working across multiple teams, functions and regions; able to partner and support others
Strong organizational skills; manages own time to meet objectives;
Ability to carry out responsibilities with a sense of urgency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master in Tax
XML knowledge and experience a plus
Knowledge and experience with SAP, FCCS, OIT and Workivas W Desk software a plus
Actively exhibits the principles present in Pfizers Purpose blueprint and values
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Overtime during the quarters and at year-end is required and throughout the year to meet deliverables.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $93,500.00 to $155,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $84,200.00 to $140,400.00.
