Machinist

Job Description:

CNC machinist must have excellent mechanical aptitude and experience with equipment, machine tools, and lathes, used for cutting, turning, and milling.

Will work with CNC Turning, 3 axis, 4 axis, 5 axis set-up/operator for mill and lathe machines.

In addition to having strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, must have good analytical skills and be able to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Precision measurement tools such as Micrometer, Calipers, Indicator, gauges, Drop Indicators, Depth Micrometers.

Must be familiar with in cycle probing, modern machining tools/techniques.

Will be machining hardened steel components and aluminum, holding extremely tight tolerances.

At least 4 years of experience doing set up/operating CNC mills or lathes is required.

Reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.

In cycle probing.

Shift:

First Shift

7:00AM-3:30PM

Monday-Friday

Second Shift

4:00PM-12:30AM

Monday-Friday

10% shift differential for second shift

10 Hour days for Overtime

Performance Expectations:

Expected to set up and operate their machines with little to no scrap. They would like all candidates to be up and running during their training period, but will closely work with Plant Manager to ensure they are on track for full conversions after contract period.
