Summary
Provides innovative leadership to maximize the departments contribution to overall hospital performance through effective planning as well as human and financial goals of the organization. Responsible for assuring departmental contribution to overall organizations mission and goals. Under the administrative direction of the Director-Environmental Services.
Responsibilities
Plans, implements and markets services which meet the needs of identified internal and external customers through evaluation and assessment of customer needs and expectations resulting in development of improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services. • Provides leadership through facilitating BMH-Carroll county vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff to communicate policies and goals, • Performs daily and unscheduled inspections of Environmental Services areas of responsibility. Maintains quality standards. Participates in departmental in-services and hospital and departmental QI/TQM programs. • Assists in research and development of cost effective methods, materials and equipment purchases. • Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department. • Cleans and disinfects occupied and unoccupied patient rooms, corridors, surgery. Participates in additional cleaning projects as required. • Collects and disposes of trash. Collects and transports clean linen room and cleans in each clinic as needed.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. 1 year of EVS experience and management experience is preferred.
