Job Title: Human Resources Generalist
Classification: Exempt
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Human Resources Supervisor
Purpose:
The Human Resources Generalist performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employee onboarding, and benefits management. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill, and the business needs.
General Duties:
Oversees internal transfers and promotions (reviews applications, interviews).
Monitors and updates plant headcount numbers for hourly and salary positions.
Creates & conducts employee satisfaction survey questions and analyzes results to coordinate with management in enforcing new and innovative ideas to increase retention.
Assists with Post-Hire interviews and enters data to analyze trends.
Schedules employee communication meetings and present topics for discussion.
Assists in organizing celebration events for employees.
Coordinates all employee meals and appreciation events
Responds to and communicates questions/concerns that employees may have along with ideas for improvement.
Reviews and updates monthly KPIs
Acts as an employee relations specialist
Assists with wellness and community service programs.
Coordinates and participants with plant supervision in disciplinary or termination proceedings involving employees.
Keeps contact with employees regarding personnel matters
Observes company rules and regulations concerning personal safety; wears personal safety equipment (PPE) as required.
Observes Kaizen and 5S procedures.

Requirements:
High School Degree (or G.E.D. equivalent) required.
A four year degree from an accredited university in Human Resource Management (or similar degree) preferred.
Three to five years of experience working in human resources (or similar experience) preferred.
