AR/Billing/Inventory Clerk

Job Description: Accounts Receivable/Billing & Inventory Transactions
Position Summary
Seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time office position, responsible for answering the phones, assisting customers on the phone or in person, daily inventory charge outs to jobs and invoicing/billing all electrical work timely. Proficient computer skills are necessary.
Family owned business with over 50 years servicing the Bay-Saginaw-Tuscola area. We offer a competitive hourly wage, excellent health benefits, 401k with matching, and holiday / vacation / sick time off. Work hours are 8 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday, with a half hour lunch.
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Invoicing (70%)
– Detail-oriented to accurately process invoices/billings
– Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
– Excellent communication skills to resolve billing issues with customers
– Generate and mail/email invoices/billings accurately and timely
– Perform journal entries/transactions for material to/from inventory
– Work with others to ensure work orders are turned in and correct
Inventory Management (15%)
– Monitors inventory levels in the warehouse
– Places orders with supply companies
– Requests pricing quotes to restock inventory
– Checks in inventory when received and processes inventory receipts into the accounting system
Office Support (15%)
– Answer phones
– Multi-tasking is a must
– Enters work orders into the accounting system
– Waits on customers when they come in
– Serves as back-up for Accounts Payable
– Serve as back-up for cash register
– Serve as back-up for bank deposit
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
– Computer knowledge within Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
– High School/GED required with 2-3 years accounting experience preferred.
– Sitting, standing and light lifting
