Diesel Service Technician

Vander Haags has a great opportunity for experiencedService Technicians (Diesel Mechanic) to join our team!

ASE Certification is preferred, but not required. Vander Haags offers:

– Hourly base pay that reflects your experience in the industry.

– Work in a clean, well-lit, air conditioned shop, complete with overhead hoists and shop equipment.

Vander Haags also provides an in-house, ASE-certified Technical Trainer to allow you to keep up your skills and certification right at work!

At Vander Haags, no two days are exactly the same. You get the opportunity to work on a wide range of different heavy duty truck makes and models! General duties include:

– All types of medium and heavy duty truck repair
– Engine diagnostics and overhauls
– Drivetrain
– Electrical
– DOT inspections
– PM maintenance
– Hydraulic systems
– Fabrication

Hours: Day shift hours, Monday through Friday. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required!

Compensation: This position pays an hourly base compensation overtime. Hourly rate will range from $20.00/hour up to $40.00/hour. Hourly rate is dependent upon experience and qualifications (e.g., ASE Certifications, etc.).

Tools: Vander Haags offers flexible arrangements to assist you with the purchase of additional tools (if necessary). We also sell Milwaukee power tools right at our store locations!
