Because at Solventum, we never stop solving for you.The Impact Youll Make in this RoleAs a(n) Supplier Excellence Director you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Drive and lead implementation of Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) across Solventum (Procurement, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs and External Supplier Base) to achieve measurable and increasing net cost reductions of existing products and materials for Solventum.Partner with suppliers to evaluate alternative materials, components, and manufacturing processes that offer cost savings without compromising product quality or performance. This includes supplier audits together with supplier quality and procurement.Drive significant supplier base reduction and consolidation by managing the change management process of moving materials from non-strategic to strategic suppliers, while improving costs for the same. Ensure complete validation and qualification by working with quality, manufacturing and other stakeholders.Responsible for recommending and deploying dual/multi sources of supply to ensure continuity of supply of key products. Managing the change management process throughout implementation. Ensure complete validation and qualification by working with quality, manufacturing and other stakeholders.Leverages strong project and change management skills to drive continuous improvements for the categories. Introduces innovative strategies for Supplier excellence.Drive continuous improvement efforts by implementing lean methodologies, process optimizations to achieve cost reduction targets.Coaches, mentors, and develops supplier excellence team (direct reports) and extended stakeholder team talent, including sharing best practices. Ensures team is hitting savings targets and driving business results. Develops a diverse, high performing supplier excellence team and associated organization.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree in supply chain/engineering or business-related field, technical degree10 Years of Managerial Experience10 Years of Procurement/Engineering/Manufacturing Leadership ExperienceAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Masters degree Supply chain/Engineering or business-related field from an accredited institutionExperience implementing significant improvements or establishing procurement industry best practices across functional areas.Strong track record of driving operational improvements (e.g. cost savings) to support the business strategyInfluential with the ability to articulate and drive teams toward a common goalFamiliarity with VAVE tools and processesExcellent communication skills across various organizational levelsExcellent negotiation skills and proven success working under pressure while driving projects to closure.Work location:Maplewood – Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to TBD at least 2-3 days per week)Travel: May include up to 25-30%Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status) OR EU countries.Supporting Your Well-beingSolventum offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
