Description POSITION SUMMARY This Safco Market Manager role is responsible for the development and ongoing execution of marketing and sales strategies in support of the Education market. Candidates must have a keen understanding of product positioning, financial metrics, marketing, and account based sales to proactively guide and advise Sales teams and other functions to advance profitable sales growth. This position requires a passion for delivering customer driven solutions through a balance of strategic and tactical actions. Candidates must be adept with their ability to effectively communicate and advance complex concepts and solutions within and across the organization. This full-time/hybrid position reports to the VP of Product & Marketing at Safcos headquarters in New Hope, MN. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop annual go-to-market plan leveraging insights to identify and define specific marketing tactics and commercial action to achieve annual growth objectives Support the development and closure of project opportunities with Sales team Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analyses Expand business opportunities with current and new markets Serve as a brand steward within the Education market Support new product introductions and provide feedback for new product opportunities Develop and manage ongoing demand generation activities, including seminars, webinars, tradeshows, on-site customer briefings, email campaigns, integrated online campaign and CEUs (Continuing Education Units) Develop vertical messaging and content needs Develop and manage key industry relationships Other duties, as assigned KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Develop and execute annual GTM (go-to-market) plans Define and achieve annual revenue goals Improve gross margin % Conduct dealer/rep sales training Provide market driven, new product development insights Product rationalization/culling insights Product pricing strategies Monthly reporting of key performance metrics to senior management Solicit voice of customer and voice of market to advance key initiatives REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS BA in Marketing or general business 5 years of Marketing/Sales experience within the education market Proven record of success driving B2B sales and marketing strategies History of leveraging data and market insights to inform a strategic vision Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written Applied experience in implementing integrated marketing planning and tactics Strong communications skills Agile thinker that can balance daily tasks and deliverables while advancing strategic initiatives Ability to travel up to 40% PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MBA in Marketing Has existing relationships and accounts within the Education market PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS PRODUCTION: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
