Tetra Tech is currently seeking a full-time Structural Engineer to lead projects that will vary in locality from local and regional work to national work, providing unique engineering experiences and will include municipal, industrial, commercial, government, forensic, renovation work on historic structures, and civil works (spillways, flood walls, and gate structures) projects.The successful candidate will work with diverse Tetra Tech team members in the delivery of company project initiatives related to structural engineering. The ideal candidate enjoys working as a team player in a flexible environment and seeing the work followed through during onsite visits. The ideal candidate for this location will be located in Ann Arbor, MI, Louisville, KY or Orlando, FL.

Your Role:
Lead teams of Structural Engineers and Designers for larger projects, Interface with clients throughout the design and construction process
Deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
Mentor and guide junior Engineers.
Prepare, check, and review design calculations of structural systems.
Ability to write forensic and investigation reports.
Define the structural system by modeling in Revit Designing to local and State Codes, as well as Federal Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) guidelines.
Utilizing advanced structural engineering software tools (RISA software experience preferred)
Participate in Construction Administration activities when required by the project.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering required, masters degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) License required; Professional Structural Engineer (SE) preferred.
6 years of related experience as a Structural Engineer
Valid Drivers License with an acceptable driving record
Experience in the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and cold formed steel.
Experience with designing structures located in geographical areas prone to hurricanes and high seismicity is a plus.
Proficient with structural engineering design software such as RISA 3D
Must be willing to learn REVIT, if not already known
