Assistant Director KRC Job Description

Overview
The Assistant Directors main role is to assist and support the
Executive Director in running the
Center. This may include, but is not limited to:
? Day-to-day activities and meetings
? Fundraising
? Donations management
? Special events management and oversight
? Maintenance coordination of building and grounds
? Marketing materials management
? Supervision of program staff
The Assistant Director must thoroughly understand and comply with all of
the requirements

Required Experience, Skills, & Abilities
? A self-identified person (or a person with lived experience) in
recovery from a substance
use disorder who meets the requirement of at least two years of
continuous recovery, or
who can otherwise demonstrate stability in their recovery.
? Experience with, or educational background of, recovery concepts and
practices of
recovery that honor all pathways to recovery.
? Ability to self-motivate, work with staff, provide constructive and
supportive feedback, and
adapt approaches to match various learning styles and abilities.
? Organized, self-motivated, creative, and committed to working in a
diverse environment.
? Excellent written and oral communication.
? Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working with all levels of
professionals.
? Valid Drivers License is helpful but not required. Must have current
auto insurance
coverage where applicable. Must be able to get to work on time.
? Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
? Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Apps (Gmail,
Drive, Sheets,
Docs). Able to navigate and perform basic file management functions in
Microsoft Office
and Google platforms.
Desired Experience, Skills, & Abilities
? Knowledge and understanding of the recovery community needs.
? Fundraising experience, including grant writing, sponsorship events,
and donor relations.
? Grant management and reporting.
? Bill filing and communication with the bookkeeper
? Staff supervision experience
? Able to act proactively to make decisions.
? Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Job Responsibilities
? Support the Executive Director with all functions related to the
Center, as needed.
? On-sight presence at the Center, assisting in managing daily
functions, main community
room, activities, and guest relations.
? Track and manage grant funding streams, including reporting timelines
and invoice
submissions.
? Assist in fundraising efforts, which may include grant writing,
company sponsorships, in-kind
donations, grant reporting, and organization of fundraising efforts.
? Track and process donations send donor notification/thank you
correspondence.
? Supervision of program staff.
? Management and oversight of special events comprised of staff and
volunteers, including
working with committees and providing general event planning oversight
to ensure success.
? Help with the development and maintenance of KRC documents.
? Develop and manage the Centers marketing materials, including the
website, social media,
and print (fliers, posters, newspaper, etc.).
? Provide opportunities for staff to attend required trainings for
Recovery Coaching and
implementation of evidence-based strategies.
? Utilize the principles of resiliency and recov ery-oriented system of
care (RROSC);
Data Entry Requirements
? Collect data on all participants and enter into the Recovery Data
Platform;
? Provide Recovery Coaching services in multiple environments, e.g.,
hubs, clinics, recovery
center, treatment facilities, etc.
? Create a recovery plan with each participant (written or verbal
agreement) that plans short
and/or long-term goals for a participants recovery and/or
harm-reduction journey.
Trainings Required & Provided
? Employees will be required to attend various trainings, paid for by
KRC.
? Recovery Data Platform trainings and videos
? Trained Recovery Coach or willingness/ability to become certified by
attending
related Recovery Coach trainings.
? Become familiar with the Recovery Coach Job Aid Workflows (3) and the
KRC Recovery
Coach Essentials document upon hire.
