Summary

The Technical Document Specialist manages and provides a relevant documentation for Ranpak Automation equipment as it related to the manual, service manual, and training documentation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Provides up-to-date training documentation and materials

Ensures that customers have the needed documentation belonging to the delivered system

Contributes to a professional and profitable service organization

Establishes documentation in line with the different levels for various users

Provides feedback to engineering about incorrect or incomplete machine documentation

Assists in solving technical issues, prototype setup, and assembly

Contributes to the growth of the knowledge base used by the service department

Provides recommendations to improve the serviceability of the machines

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical writing or other related field

Minimum five years of experience in writing technical documentation and creating technical training materials for packaging machines or comparable complex machines

Excellent communication and teaching skills

Well organized and structured way of working especially for documentation needs

System knowledge: MS Office, MS Excel, Engineering drawings, BaaN, Infor LN and SAP

Logical thought processes

Supervisory Responsibilities: No

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Office Setting

· Choice of sitting or standing or alternating between them (stand-up desk optional)

· Keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods of time

· Moderate noise, i.e., phones, printer, light foot traffic

· Medium noise, i.e., manufacturing facility with machinery operating on factory floor with heavy traffic
