Job Overview:

RWJBH is seeking a Respiratory Equipment Tech for our New Brunswick campus. This is a part-time, evening position (20 hours/week) with the expectation to work every other weekend with flexible evening hours.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma

Previous healthcare related experience, preferred (EMT, current Respiratory student)

Essential Functions:

Attends all mandatory in-services.

Maintain cylinder rooms neat and orderly.

Completes all annual competencies by assigned due date.

Informs Department Leadership of any issues or problems.

Complete and maintain daily records of all oxygen cylinder exchanges.

Makes daily rounds to exchange oxygen and other cylinders in patient care areas.

Maintain DOHSS, CMS, TJC regulations regarding the storage of oxygen and other compressed gas cylinders.

Assist Department Leadership with inventory, ordering and maintaining cylinders and related equipment and supplies for the Respiratory Therapy Department.

Assist with inspection preparation and special projects as assigned.
