Service Engineer (Experienced)

Service Engineer (Experienced) wanted by Soudronic Ltd. in Briarcliff Manor, NY. Oversee complex installation of machines for can-making production lines, installation of speed-up kits, retrofits, and overhauls at customer sites. Service and maintain complex, high-speed welding product lines including resistance welders, powder and lacquer coating systems, curing ovens, slitters, transfer systems, leak testers, conveyors, palletizers, and body form presses. Troubleshoot device problems using electrical and electronic tools and equipment in addition to computer software applications. Prepare lay-out designs and custom modifications in support of the installation of turnkey can making production lines. Conduct mechanical and electrical training seminars for customers as well as provide maintenance and troubleshoot production equipment. Provide emergency device support and services to customers, as needed. Up to 80% travel to service customer sites across the US and Canada. Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience. Must have 5 years of experience in hydraulic/manual presses, lathe or milling machines, drill press/drilling and tapping holes, band saws and cutting tools, reading micrometers/calipers, and soldering. Must have 5 years of experience in industrial electronics including motors, transformers, relay logic, PLC programming, and reading electrical schematics.
