SECURITY SPECIALIST (CYBER)

Summary You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (CYBER) in the CYBER DEPARTMENT of NAVY INFO OPERATIONS CMD NORFOLK. Responsibilities You will evaluate and provide subject matter expert guidance as it relates to traditional security in support of cyber readiness/compliance inspections. You will review and provide guidance to ensure appropriate accreditation documentation is available for each Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility / Controlled Access Area and communications / automated information system spaces as applicable. You will monitor the command security programs. You will work independently and make extensive technical decisions as it relates to the commands security programs. You will be required to have full knowledge of security concepts, principles and practices. You will submit written reports to chain of command on recommendations and/or corrective actions taken for each site visited. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience and comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of Executive Orders and Cyber DoD directives governing access to classified information with a focus on compliance and STIG validations, DoD physical security program, DON personnel security program and DON information security program. Experience using and having fully knowledge of wide range of Cyber security concepts principles and practices to review independently, analyze, and result difficult security problems. Experience in and knowledge of a broad range of Cyber program relationships and significant expertise and depth of the four security disciplines.
