Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
Assemble attachments and follow instructions. Utilize hand and power tools with strong attention to detail. Stand for 8 hours and lift 50 lbs. Visually inspect parts prior to assembly and set up/prepares jobs for assembly. Check part availability on computer and obtain parts from inventory. Use assembly tooling designed for the assigned cells such as presses, drill machines, testing fixtures, and assembly fixtures. Assemble sub-assemblies and finished goods. Apply Loctite, grease, epoxy, etc. as specified per assigned work instructions. Assemble products to special handling instructions as required. Thoroughly clean and prepare product surfaces for labeling using acetone. Apply proper labeling. Maintain and clean work area, including removing trash, wiping down table tops, and cleaning floors. Rework failed products as necessary.

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Valparaiso, Indiana.
Work Environment
The facility is clean and well-organized but not temperature-controlled, so it gets warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Employees are allowed to wear knee-length shorts. The company manufactures connections and attachments for first responders and monitors for fire trucks to remove carcinogenics from the air. Proud of their first responder partnerships and outreach programs. The day shift is from 8 am-4 pm with mandatory 2 hours each day, which can be worked before or after the shift based on preference. Some Saturday work may be required, typically at the end of the month.
