Maintenance Technician

Job Description

– Responsible for all mechanical and electrical repairs for tubing mill equipment

– Respond to repairs and all breakdowns

– Troubleshoot motors, fuses, relays, gear boxes, encoders

– Troubleshoot AB and Siemens PLCs

– Troubleshooting of hydraulics

– Installing, maintaining and repairing electrical motors, air compressors, fans, and pumps

– Fabricate, assemble and test parts as needed (various pumps, valves, heaters, compressors, fire equipment, and other mechanical system parts)

– CMMS (Ability to knock out work orders and order parts)

– Other duties as assigned (painting, plumbing, general building maintenance)

Hard Skills

– Troubleshooting hydraulics

– 2 years Mechanical Maintenance

– Electrical Troubleshooting

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Gary, Indiana.

Work Environment

Culture: We are all in it together and we need people who work together towards our production goals. If an operator messes up, we use it as a learning point to get better.

Dress code: Metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long sleeved shirts and gloves

Environment: Dark environment, with no windows. Can get dirty and most mechanics will be greasy.

1 opening on 2nd shift 3pm-1am – 10 hour days, Monday through Thursday. OT on Fridays and even some weekends.
