The SENIOR PATIENT ACCESS SPECIALI-PATIENT REGISTRATION plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient at Union Health. The Patient Registration team plays an integral role by managing the hospital’s database, updating patient’s information, confirming insurance details, taking calls, responding to patients’ inquiries and concerns, and assuring that services are provided within professional standards and organizational policies to assist patients who lean on the Patient Registration team for answers.

Senior Patient Access Special-Patient Registration Details

Essential Job Duties:

Credentialing/re-credentialing applications for managed care organizations and hospitals

Maintaining provider credential files and records

Assisting with revenue cycle duties and analysis

Performing other managed care tasks as assigned

Education, Training & Experience

High School diploma required; Associate Degree preferred.

Excellent grasp of standard written and verbal English, spelling, and basic business math required.

Typing speed of 60 wpm required.

Knowledge of medical terminology required.

Prior work experience in a healthcare setting required.

Proficiency with computers and various software required.
