Providing hydraulic press engineering support for high-volume, hot stamping, metal forming, plant operations. Planning, laying out, and installing new systems and projects, within defined budgets and timelines. Performing advanced troubleshooting of issues that cause machine failures and downtime. Developing and leading weekly work plans for press maintenance team and reporting on progress and issues as they arise to the Press Maintenance Manager. Starting machines to test operations following installation and/or repairs, subject to inspection. Coordinating the maintenance technicians to repair and maintain machines and mechanical and electrical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturers specification. Performing functional modifications and engineering changes of equipment to improve productivity, quality, and cycle time and lower costs. Designing and maintaining a press shop preventive and predictive maintenance system. Ensuring compliance with OSHA and plant safety standards. Implementing logic changes to PLCs as needed to correct or improve press operation. Leading 5S principles and adhering to quality, safely and environmental policies. Participating in the creation and support of systems, documentation and actions to assure conformance to Quality System requirements.
