Distribution Field Technician (Entry-level)Job Description

Join our team for a dynamic role based out of Grand Rapids. In this position, you will be crucial in visually inspecting overhead and underground electrical distribution equipment. Your daily responsibilities include compiling field data, preparing minor work orders, and generating maintenance reports. Youll also measure and map out LVD systems and identify electrical equipment on poles. Expect to perform various field technical services related to the operation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical distribution systems. This includes system inventories and audits, joint use management, and more. Utilize tools such as laptops, tablets, GPS, and other electronic devices for field data collection and input into database software. Develop your knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code, electric utility construction standards, and more while operating necessary equipment for measuring and maintenance tasks.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

Daily reporting is required at the Grand Rapids office, where you will be assigned a location for the days data collection tasks. Most work locations are within an hours drive from the office.
