Job Title: Organic Chemist

Job Description

Prepare organic compounds according to documented procedures. Use a rotovap to remove solvents from chemicals and sand. Purify materials using flash chromatography or thin-layer chromatography (TLC). Utilize other wet chemistry techniques such as HPLC, NMR, IR, and UV-vis. Follow work orders to create chemicals and materials for other departments within the organization. Calculate the appropriate amount of chemicals using basic and advanced math.

Qualifications:

BA OR BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Coralville, Iowa.

Schedule

Rotating Day shift:

8 weeks on Monday – Thursday from 7am-6:00pm

8 weeks on Thursday – Sunday from 7am – 6:00pm
