Overview
Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at our M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital location in Burnsville, MN.
Fairview Ridges Hospital provides care for patients with many different acute and chronic diagnoses including, but not limited to, sepsis, renal disease, respiratory illnesses, overdoses, withdrawals, CVA’s, acute myocardial infarction, pneumonia and more. Our complex patients may require ventilation, continuous hemodynamic monitoring, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
Schedule : This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours and straight nights. This position will also work a rotation for every 3rd weekend.

Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN is a community based, 150 bed, level III designated trauma center.
Our 12 Bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a face-paced and highly technical environment where safety, quality, and patient and family centered care is established.

Responsibilities Job Description
As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for:
Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;
Developing an individualized nursing plan of care;
Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care;
Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes;
Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes;
Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate;
Demonstrating the ability to advance care by applying standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes;
Promoting a culture of evidence-based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and
Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Valid RN License from MN Board of Nursing
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
Certification in related specialty
A minimum of one-year current medical surgical RN experience in a hospital setting
One year adult critical care experience
Certification by the American Association of Critical Care Nursing or in a related specialty
