Job Description
Mechanical Assembler:
2nd shift 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM
1st shift is 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Monday – Friday
Candidates will use hand and power tools and assemble components based on blueprints. The role involves working mostly with brakes and clutches used in medical devices, farm equipment, and US government applications. These brakes are utilized in surgical robots, gurneys, hospital beds, MRI machines, and more. Proficiency with hand and power tools is essential for this position.
Advancement opportunities include moving to Electronic or Gearmotor assembly roles.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Shakopee, Minnesota.
Work Environment
This is a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing environment focused on bench assembly for mechanical brakes, gear motors, and drives. The company is a leader in automation technology, offering a low volume, high product mix environment. Assemblers may work on multiple products in a day, requiring high attention to detail due to the 300-400 variations of custom products. The environment is spacious, clean, and well-conditioned, with departments separated effectively. Workers will stay relatively clean throughout their shift and will wear gloves during assembly to protect against oils and adhesives.
