Description

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Digital Solutions Specialist who will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of GIS-centric digital solutions, with a focus on supporting the planning and development of utility and infrastructure projects, including pipelines, electric power systems, and broadband networks. They collaborate cross-functionally to design, develop, and implement solutions, overseeing everything from conception to retirement. A key focus is managing solution roadmaps, incorporating feature enhancements, capability retirement, cost analysis, and user training. The Digital Solutions Specialist maintains ISO certification for applicable solutions and ensures product evolution supports service delivery.

Responsibilities :

Solution Strategy and Leadership:

Defines and communicates solution vision and strategy to all relevant stakeholders.

Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and manage solution roadmaps.

Leads development teams (on-shore and off-shore) to execute roadmaps.

Solution Development and Management:

Prioritizes features and capabilities based on business and customer impact.

Oversees the solution development process, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

Develops and manages solution budgets and forecasts.

Works with Ops and Business Development to support sales strategies.

Provides solution training and support.

Monitors user feedback and solution performance, driving continuous improvement.

Defines success criteria and testing.

Project Management and Technical Expertise:

Supports the manager in solution development execution, tracking scope, schedule, and budget.

Anticipates and addresses potential problems.

Reviews solution scopes and develops functional requirements, deliverables, and budgets.

Coordinates sub-teams to achieve concurrent project goals.

Gathers requirements and nuances from stakeholders.

Builds and maintains stakeholder relationships.

Ensures adherence to ENTRUST processes and procedures.

Proactively communicates challenges to the Project Manager and team.

Designs technical approaches for complex development projects.

Assesses technical skills and growth opportunities in SMEs.

Participates in solution framework health assessments.

Additional Responsibilities:

Maintains ISO certification for applicable solutions.

Ensures solution outputs support service delivery.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

GIS and Geospatial Data Expertise:

GIS certification and 10 years of GIS experience (preferably in a utility or infrastructure environment) OR

BS in GIS, computer science, engineering, earth sciences, or a related field.

Strong understanding of geospatial data relevant to utility and infrastructure planning, in 3 of the following areas:

USGS 3DEP

NHDPlus HR

National Pipeline Mapping System data

Land use and land cover data

Demographic and socioeconomic data

Existing electric and broadband infrastructure data

Environmental and regulatory constraints data

Familiarity with one (1) or more industry-standard data models for utilities and infrastructure, including:

Pipeline data models (ISAT, PODS, APDM, UPDM, etc.).

Common Information Model (CIM) for electric power systems

Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric (BSLF)

Other relevant data standards and models

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with cloud computing, Docker, and platforms for massively parallel computing.

Experience with Python software distribution and management tools.

Knowledge of spatial platforms for analysis and data management.

Solution Management & Leadership:

Proven experience as a Digital Solutions Specialist, Solution Designer, or similar role.

Strong understanding of solution management and software development processes

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize, and organize tasks.

Experience with market research, data analysis, and solution performance metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

MS in GIS, computer science, engineering, earth sciences or a related discipline

GISP certification

Background in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and/or solid foundation in hyperbolic partial differential equations and numerical methods

5 years of experience with the development and maintenance of gas and/or electric utility/transmission GIS databases

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, etc.)

Strong work ethic and desire to work in a production environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize, ensuring client deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Ability to establish credibility, be decisive, and support organizational priorities.

Detail-oriented with strong multitasking skills.

Innovative and forward-thinking problem-solver.

Self-motivated team player.

Ability to develop high-quality solutions with limited supervision.

Professional interaction with all levels of the organization and clients.
