Tool and Die Machinist. This is a 1st shift position.
As a Manual Machinist, you will operate and maintain manual tooling machines including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces. Additionally, you will use precision measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify that parts meet exact specifications. Your role may involve writing and editing CNC programs to optimize machining processes, selecting appropriate cutting tools and materials, and performing routine maintenance on machines. You will also conduct inspections of machined tooling and molds, make necessary adjustments, and adhere to all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

You will be part of a smaller, laid-back team of about 30 members, focusing on learning and mastering various machining skills. The dress code requires safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and long pants. Our standard work hours are from 6 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday, with flexible Saturdays and an expectation of 45-55 hours per week. Training is hands-on, typically one-on-one, ensuring you are well-prepared. Flexibility in start and end times is available, provided its communicated in advance.
