Job Description
Currently seeking highly motivated and talented individuals for welding positions in our Steel and Irrigation Operations division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that will weld metal components together to fabricate or repair products according to layouts, blueprints, or work orders using brazing and a variety of arc and gas welding equipment.
Hard Skills
Fuse or weld metal structural components together by means of arc welding
Perform welding operations requiring limited planning from blueprints or other written specifications
Utilize all safety devices and wear all mandatory personal protective safety equipment
Adjust welding equipment to prescribed settings
Maintain and operate production tooling and fixtures as well as all welding equipment in a safe and secure manner
Read and complete labor reporting system, standard shop forms, and blueprints
Perform minor welding machine maintenance (i.e., tips, liners, gas cups)
Use labor reporting system, routing shop forms, and fill out move tags
Soft Skills
Accurately read a measuring tape
Read and follow written and verbal instructions
Communicate and interact with coworkers positively
Work in a high volume, fast-paced environment
Pass an onsite welding assessment
Work over ten hours a week in overtime when required for business needs
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Valley, Nebraska.
Work Environment
Heavy industrial, jeans, steel toes with metatarsal cover and shirt. The campus is very large and requires candidates to drive from building to building. It is a very industrial environment that can be noisy and at times, dirty.
