Job Description
We seek a Field Service Technician to install, test, and commission vision, camera, and scanning systems for high-speed automation systems at vendor or client sites. Responsibilities include base-level commissioning of new automation systems, supporting on-site system installation, start-up, debugging, and commissioning. You will create training and system documentation as needed and provide remote support to clients and team members to troubleshoot system process issues. The role requires completing formal training programs to increase knowledge of specific vision, camera, and scanning systems. Daily reports summarizing work completed and outlining remaining tasks, as well as accurate tracking and reporting of time and expenses, are essential.

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Lincoln, Nebraska and some days remote.
Work Environment
This role requires 75% travel, primarily on-site at client locations with packaging and conveyors, including USPS, Amazon, and similar companies. Trips generally run Monday to Friday but can extend over weekends based on project timelines. Employees expense their travel costs (airline, hotel, car, Uber, meal amounts per IRS guidelines) rather than receiving a per diem. When not traveling, work occurs in a climate-controlled, clean warehouse with large automation/robots. Candidates can be located anywhere near Lincoln or Omaha, with a preference for Nebraska residents. Work hours are during the day as needed by clients, generally from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday. The dress code includes a provided polo, jeans, and closed-toed shoes. The position offers a pay range of $27.50-$50/hour DOE and requires the ability to rent a vehicle. The interview process includes a phone screen followed by an on-site interview with the Service team. Training includes 6 months with another technician and 30-60-90-120 day evaluations, along with annual reviews.
