About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Operational Accounting Associate on the AP Operations Team as part of Wholesale Lending Operations / Commercial Banking Operations division. Learn more about our career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com .

This position will perform moderately complex operational accounting activities related to the maintenance of complete and accurate general ledger accounts. Duties may include providing operational accounting support to internal business groups and operations departments; preparing/reviewing transactions which may be in support of business group products, preparing entries; gathering, reviewing and preparing data for reports; preparing and reviewing account reconciliations; assisting in preparation of consolidated balance sheet, researching invoice payments using various internal systems; keeping comprehensive and complex accounts requiring the analysis of operations accounting transactions and the establishment or maintenance of operations account controls. Extensive communication with lines of businesses to reconcile transactions posting to general ledgers.

In this role, you will:

Perform operational accounting activities related to account reconcilement and maintenance

Provide operational accounting support to internal business groups or operations departments to ensure that accounts are being managed within the account policy requirements

Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications

Perform customer account maintenance duties

Evaluate the operational accounting transactions and maintenance of operational accounting controls

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

6 months of Operational Accounting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

6 months General ledger/Bookkeeping experience

Accounting or finance experience

Understanding of A/P bill coding

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas

Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment

Job Expectations:

This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule

Ability to work additional hours as needed
