JOB SUMMARY

The Cesar Chavez Foundation is seeking a full-time Director of California Partnerships who will create and implement a strategy to grow the Education Fund’s products and programs in California to impact 1 million learners and achieve sustainability by 2028 across the Southwest. They will be responsible for overseeing and leading California partnerships to meet and exceed student impact and revenue goals and will report directly to the Director of Growth & Partnerships.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop & Implement Growth Strategy in California – 75%

Strengthen market research, partner prospecting, and landscape/trends analyses to create a multi-year comprehensive growth strategy across California consistent with the Education Fund’s Strategic Plan

Implement the growth strategy for California

Manage a partnerships pipeline against goals and implementation of strategy

Build and strengthen strategic network to support the growth plan, including conferences and special events

Strengthen & Manage Business Operations – 15%

Manage quarterly and yearly student impact and revenue targets

Support internal partnership review meetings rooted in performance data to inform partner strategy and operations

Implement marketing plans and pricing strategy for the Education Fund’s products and programs

Strengthen sales processes including prospecting, lead generation, outreach, contract procurement, and billing

Manage & Collaborate across Teams – 10%

Collaborate with CCF Strategic Communications Team to co-develop pitch, marketing materials, and social media campaigns

Collaborate with Legal Team to develop partnership contracts and MOUs

Collaborate with other CCF departments, as appropriate

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-Experience and strong track record in partnerships and/or sales; education industry preferred

-BA degree required; MBA strongly preferred

-5-7 years of experience in sales, external partnerships, or other related experience

-Knowledge of K-12 education landscape

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

-High resourcefulness with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

-Excellent ability to manage relationships at all levels of an organization

-Excellent verbal and written communication

-Team player; pitches in wherever needed to help the team’s work lead to success

-Motivated to use data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and achieve the results that matter most

LOCATION

California, region flexible, with 30-50% travel

Must be available to work from Fresno or Los Angeles office at least twice a week.

COMPENSATION RANGE

A salary commensurate with experience in the range of $90,000-$100,000 is accompanied by a competitive benefits package that includes generous vacation and sick leave, 10 company paid holidays per year, health, dental and vision coverage for the family, and supplemental disability insurance options.
