Bike Mechanic / Rebalancer paying $26/hour

We are seeking a motivated Mechanic/Rebalancer to join our small team dedicated to supporting the clients campus bike program and bike shops. In this role, you will service and maintain a diverse fleet of bikes and e-bikes, including campus bikes, loaner fleet bikes, cargo bikes, custom trailers, and employee-owned bikes.

Your responsibilities will include performing repairs and routine maintenance to ensure all bikes are in excellent working condition. You will also spend time outdoors working alongside your team, utilizing cargo bikes, trailers, and a sprinter van to rebalance campus bikes as needed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of bikes and e-bikes or a strong desire to learn. You should possess a proven record of professionalism, effective communication, teamwork, and flexibility. Job Description

• Provide daily service and repair of campus fleet bikes

• Assemble campus bikes on an as-needed basis

• Monitor GPS Fleet Management Software

• Rebalance bikes, using a cargo bike and trailer and/or van (training provided)

• Prep and repair loaner bikes

• Repair/tune employee personal bikes

• Organize and maintain tools and other assets of the bicycle maintenance operation

• Assist with bike programs, events and special promotions, as needed

• Teach classes and clinics, as needed

• Lead and assist with rides and other commute events as necessary

• Opportunity to work on special projects as the needs arise

Requirements

· Experience repairing bikes in a professional setting is strongly preferred, but not required.

· Driver’s license

· Must be able to ride a bike

· Comfortable working in a shop setting as well as outside, rain or shine.

· Available for the entirety of shift: 10AM – 7PM Monday through Friday
