Job Title: Medical Assistant Front and Back OfficeJob Description

Utilize Medent as EMR for patient records. Log medications, reconcile with pharmacy for medications, and use sterile technique for preparing injections that physicians will give. Handle bracing and DME of wrists, ankles, and knees. Update computer system for MRI, CAT scan, and other requests. Complete return to gym and sports notes. Put scripts in EMR and call facilities for STATs. Welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring they feel comfortable and informed. Manage the appointment calendar, schedule patient visits, and coordinate with medical staff availability. Handle incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate personnel, and address patient inquiries. Verify patient insurance coverage and collect copayments. Assist patients with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring all necessary forms are completed. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Process insurance claims, create invoices, and manage patient billing. Assist with patient examinations, take vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures. Assist with minor surgical procedures, wound care, and administering medications. Update and maintain accurate patient medical histories and records. Provide patients with information on treatments, medications, and post-procedure care. Order and manage medical supplies and equipment. Work with healthcare providers to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient office operations.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hackettstown, New Jersey.

Work Environment

SHIFT: Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:00pm. After 6 months, one evening until 8pm with a shorter shift another day. Sat and Sun rotations 2-3 times per year known in advance. 80% clinical and 20% admin work weekly. 20-40 patients a day depending on provider rotation, about 1 patient every 15 minutes. Team of 22 floats for all locations. Mainly assigned to one doctor following their shift schedule. Weekly schedule released every Wednesday. 7 sites: Sparta (main hub), Morristown, Randolph, Hackettstown (2), Newton, Cedar Knolls.
