The Opportunity

We are looking for a School Counselor who:

Promotes student success, provides preventative services, and responds to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic and social-emotional development for all students.

Plans and delivers an effective and comprehensive school counseling program

Provides direct services (80%), and maintains program management, system support, and accountability (20%) {American School Counselor Association Framework}

Implements guidance/social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum

Implements developmentally appropriate and prevention-oriented group activities

Assists students individually or in groups with developing academic, personal, and social goals and plans

Collaborates with parents/guardians and school staff to assist students with educational planning

Provides individual and group counseling to students with identified needs

Conducts risk assessments and makes appropriate recommendations and referrals

Participates as a member of the Student Support Team

Collects and analyzes data to guide program direction and monitor student academic performance, behavior, and attendance

Qualifications

Bachelors degree

School Counseling Certification or comparable certificate/licensure
