DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating consumer care in accordance with nursing practice standards and consumer care standards by supervising nursing staff. Your duties will include ensuring consistent care and supervision, serving as a resource for staff, and overseeing patient support services. You will collaborate closely with other supervisors to foster a supportive team culture and maintain a safe environment for both staff and patients. Your responsibilities will also include staff development and ensuring compliance with policies. Additionally, you will exercise independent judgment by drawing on your professional training, comprehensive job knowledge, and specialized expertise.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position requires working shifts every other weekend.
Overtime may be required as needed.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years as a Registered Nurse (commonwealth title); or
Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.

Special Requirements:
This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
