Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s TMNA PE Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies, competitiveness improvements and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint PE Departments objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions and provide necessary support to ensure competitive daily operations.

What you’ll be doing

Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up

Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.

Lead competitiveness improvement projects for local production shop

Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project

Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.

What you bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field, Engineering Technology Degree or 3 years of equivalent relevant experience

Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations and MS Project for schedules) Intermediate

Experience in high volume manufacturing environment

Experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors

Project Management experience

Added bonus if you have

Experience with AutoCAD and Catia

Experience with automotive paint production engineering or maintenance experience

Experience writing equipment specifications

Experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation
