Department Summary:

The Globally Contested Logistics and Supply Chain department (N154) within the Operations in Contested Environment Division (N150), aims to holistically address Logistics and Supply Chain challenges that face our nation, with a focus on the Department of Defense. We accomplish our mission by preparing for and sustaining power projection while under a persistent, multi-domain attack in contested environments through dynamic basing, resupply, and maintenance across 3 focus areas:

Understanding the complexity of logistics and supply chains to develop resilient logistics networks

Increasing decision advantage by providing realistic logistics constraints and options to increase lethality

Recommending mitigations for critical supply chain and signatures vulnerabilities to ensure a robust combat readiness capability

Roles & Responsibilities:

Apply a variety of analytical techniques to tackle Sponsor challenges to include data mining, statistical models, predictive analytics, optimization, risk analysis, and data visualization

Contribute to development, test and evaluation, and demonstration of advanced analytic capabilities

Build and test prototypes in MITRE, government labs, and commercial cloud environments

Apply state of the art techniques, using multiple programming languages and development environments and open-source code to drive advances in mission capabilities

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

Active Secret clearance

Passion for using software to solve challenging real-world problems

Demonstrated proficiency using programming languages (such as Python, C/C, Java), experience with commonly used analytic tools (such as SAS, MATLAB, R), and database languages (such as SQL)

Must have demonstrated proficiency and strength in verbal, written, PC, presentation, and communications skills

This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference given to qualified candidates with an active DoD Secret clearance

Demonstrated ability to develop software applications, user interfaces, databases and embedded software.

Previous experience working with the DoD
