CST / Certified Surgical Technician – Surgery – Full Time – Days

Candidates must be external and fall into one of the categories below to be eligible for the Sign On Bonus

Sign On Bonus – $2,500 – Non experienced / New Grad or ProMedica Surgical Tech Intern in Certified Surgical Technician

Sign On Bonus – $5,000 – 1 to 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician

Sign On Bonus – $7,000 – greater than 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician

The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its first-ever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exercise resources and state-of-the-art care like they never have before. We offer over 200,000 square feet and has 58 acute cate beds in our new state-of-the-art regional hospital. Our campus also features an organic farm with access to nutrition, education and therapies. Position Summary:

The Surgical Tech applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients / clients served (ie: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric). Prepares rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment. Assists the surgical team during operative procedures. Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures. Prepares rooms between procedures and after terminal cleaning. Monitors and restocks supplies. Drapes patients for procedures, assists with case as directed by physician. Knowledgeable in surgical cases for all services provided. Shares knowledge of scrubbing to educate / mentor peers and new orientees. Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Graduate of approved surgical technologist program
Certification as scrub technician preferred, must be able to be certified within 6 months of hire.
BCLS certified
Experience with patient care, sterile technique and/or assisting with medical procedures, preferred
