Are you seeking the opportunity to learn on the job skills in facilities maintenance? This role is for you! You will obtain on the job skills including basic construction, outdoor maintenance, general building maintenance and support with special projects to ensure daily operation of a medical facility. This position will be working out of our West Des Moines office and provide support to all DMOS locations in the Des Moines metro.

Do I want this job? You will be working out of the facilities office located in the West Des Moines office. You will learn maintenance skills from the director of facilities. You will have the opportunity to work with specialized skill set contractors. You will complete tasks related to the general upkeep of our facilities. You will manage your time well, provide kind support to others and work in a consistent method when interacting with administrative and clinical professionals. You will have patients and employees around you. You will offer help, gather general information and quickly help the person find the right resource (if it is not you) when asked. You will be responsible to represent DMOS in clinic. You will work in a place that expects outstanding experiences; we do this by working hard to assume the best and being curious with all around us. You will be naturally curious, friendly and helpful.

Can I do this job? You must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time. High volume of reaching, bending, and/or squatting for this job. You must be able to help lift items up to 50lbs. You must be steady on your feet. You must have an active drivers license in good standing before starting at DMOS. You have general computer skills. You can think on your feet. You have to be able to use your indoor voice on a regular basis. You must remember that patient information that gets shared in clinic, stays in clinic. You are able to be curious in conversations and practice active listening with compassion and empathy because we aren’t in that person shoes.
