Stutsman County has an opening for an Emergency Manager / Communications Administrator.
This is a full-time position: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening work or travel to off-site locations may be required as job duties demand.
Provide, plan and coordinate disaster mitigation, response and recovery. Responsible for evaluating how the County will respond to disasters while providing guidance to emergency response teams including employees and volunteers. Plan, coordinate and supervise the Stutsman County Communication Center and 9-1-1 operations. Responsible for maintaining efficient communications between the public, law enforcement and other public service agencies and overseeing the maintenance and operation of the Communication Centers equipment and technology.
Position requires a minimum of a bachelors degree in public/business administration, emergency management or related field plus three years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience at the time of hire. Knowledge of effectively working with the public, 9-1-1 operations, emergency management, public safety communications, supervisory background, budgeting, problem resolution and public administration are important. Must have a valid drivers license.

Starting salary range is $6181.12-$6494.04/mo plus benefits package. Applicants will be subject to fingerprinting and background checks.
