The Montana Department of Corrections invites dynamic individuals to become part of our esteemed Training and Skills Advancement Team (TSAT). We are on the lookout for someone with the passion, drive, and ability to inspire staff, fostering continuous learning and professional growth. Deliver a comprehensive range of basic, in-service, and professional training programs. Ensure the development of department-specific and individual-specific training, contributing to the overall excellence of our personnel. Play a pivotal role in designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting training programs for various institutions and agencies, including Montana Women’s Prison, Pine Hills Correctional Facility, Montana State Prison, Montana Probation and Parole, and other affiliated entities. Training is not limited to our department; we extend our expertise to Judges, County Youth Courts, Tribal Agencies, county adult/juvenile detention/regional prison personnel, and law enforcement agencies. Individuals with prior course instruction experience, Instructor Development certification, and membership in an advanced training team (such as SRT, STG, etc.) are exempt from the degree requirement. Experience in, or with a Field Training Officer (FTO) program preferred. Prior Probation, Law Enforcement, or Detention experience is highly sough after Demonstration of competencies may be used to offset some of the education and experience requirements.
